To protect yourself from accidental SOS alerts, the countdown feature has been included. During this time you can click Cancel to stop the alert before it sends. If urgent help is needed, this entire step can be skipped by tapping the "Skip countdown" button on the bottom right of your screen during the countdown; doing so will instantly send an SOS signal to all of your SOS Contacts.
